Pairs League - Evening Match - R2

It was a close affair in the Second Basin with a tie for the section win between Bo and Paul Braund with 6lb 7ozs apiece.  Bo fished the tip to bag a few quality fish from peg 35 whilst Paul fished the whip to bag skimmers, eels and silvers from peg 29.  Tom Daniels 6lb 9ozs bag was reduced to 5lb 5ozs as he banked the season best bream to date, weighing 6lb 3ozs but only counting for 5lbs.  

In the Lower Basin section there were three double figure bags as the bream put in an appearnace with Karl Yates topping the scales,taking 18lbs 12ozs on the pole from peg 19.  On adjacent peg 20 Adrian Hill, also fishing the pole, banked 15lbs 9ozs with Matt Sampson joining the 'double figure bag' club with 11lbs 12ozs from peg 15.

However, pairs fishing is about both anglers delivering the goods and it was a 6lb 1oz  bag from Tone Johns off peg 14 that saw the Tiscott Boys pull clear of the field to win with 14 points. With other teams not able to find consistency there was a four way split for scond place which allowed the Bude Bay Pirates to open a 3 point lead over four chasing Teams, who are all respectively within a point of each other.
