Anglers are especially reminded of the following:

  • Anglers to carry their BCAA ID Card/ Day/Night Ticket and EA Rod License with them when fishing.
  • No Fishing within 15 meters of another angler. Please fish within the peg from which you are fishing.  If anglers turn up and fish pegs that you are fishing to from a distance, they have every right to do so and you will need to fish within your peg number.

  • When fishing the Lower Basin or narrow sections of the canal please avoid placing your rod bag/keepnet bag, etc immediately behind you, place them to the side and maximise space for towpath users to pass.

  • No more than two rods to be in use at any time.
  • If Fishing pegs 1 to 42, remember you are in a residential area, keep noise and use of headlights to an absolute minimum.  Avoid shining headlights on adjacent buildings.
