Notification of Closure of Main Canal (Sea Lock to HeleBridge) to all anglers from 6pm This Evening.
Due to falling water levels and limited possibility of rain over the bank holiday weekend the Committee have made the decision (after seeking advice from the Environment Agency who visited the canal yesterday) to close the Main Canal section to anglers until further notice.
Members and short term ticket holders will still be able to fish Whalesborough Lake. Members will additionally be able to contnue to fish the members only Stock Pond at Helebridge. However, please note two additional restrictions advised by the EA which we will be enforcing:
- No keepnets or carp sacks to be used
- No groundbait to be used
We will monitor the ongoing situation and give updates of any changes from the situation as outlined above.
