The weather forecast did us no favours and we all got a soaking with the first three hours fished in torrential rain, luckily the sun came out for the last hour and help dry things out. The important thing is we raised over £100 to support our local postie Mark Bowman in getting the funds for the lifesaving treatment he urgently needs. Well done all. On the day Adrian Hill found himself amongst the skimmers and bream on end peg 33 to pole fish his way to victory. Simon Allen changed late in the day to try his luck and netted a slab to push him up into second spot (much to the annoyance of Ady and Braunders either side). Dave Allen won the battle of the Lower Basin taking 3rd with an 8lb bag. Everyone struggled with slippery poles and frothy maggots and with one hour less to fish in the charity match the rain ensured the nets were not up to last weeks weights.
