With a biting easterly wind only six of the qualifying anglers braved the elements for their last chance of silverware this season. Fishing in the Lower Basin Kevin Hill ensured he would have something for the trophy cabinet with a winning 28lbs 7oz haul of bream and a 8lb 'bonus' carp taken on the long pole. Duncan Edwards almost made 20lbs with net of bream taken on the tip for second place. Jean Bowden was not close behind Duncan in third with an 18lb bag of slabs taken on the pole. Although Dave Allen finished 6th he could have secured a trophy for himself with a 1lb 3oz roach, the biggest this season (so far).
