With the continued patchy fishing at Whalesborough Lake it was decided to fish Hele Bridge Stock Pond and Middle Pound Sections of the canal. Dave Allen drew fancied peg 9 from the Middle Pound but only just took the top weight in the section by an ounce from Peter Giles. Partner Simon Allen backed this up with 3rd place from the Stock Pond with a 7lb bag of small carp and goldfish that saw Me and My Boy home as the winners. Adrian Hill and Peter Giles of the Bude Pirates would have won if Nathan Underwood had not taken top spot in the Stock Pond or Peter Giles had bagged just 1oz more, but that's fishing. The Pirates came in second on the day but remain overall league leaders.
