Summer League R3 - Tom King Trophy
Tony Hillas was off to a flyer on peg 18 in the first hour and a half netting two slabs on the long pole in between a succession of silvers. Sticking to the long pole Tony found a couple more bream and a 2lb bonus eel at the end saw him comfortably win the Tom King Trophy with 17lbs 3ozs. All through the contest Simon Allen was trying to close the gap off peg 14 but there were no bonus slabs to be had although he did bank 14lbs of skimmers and silvers for second. Tony Johns did find the better skimmers off end peg 35 for a third place net of 11lbs 11ozs.
Brian Powel took the Second Basin section with 9lbs of redfins and Paul Braund was an ounce short of 7lbs to take the Lower Basin section with redfins and perch on the whip (no skimmers) from peg 19.
