You know the canal is fishing well when 4lb of silvers does not even see you get into the top ten let alone feature in the sections. On the day Nathan Underwood ran away with the match as he settled onto a shed full of skimmer bream and picked up four slabs into the bargain. Nathan was on his favoured pole. Dave Allen finished second off of fancied end peg 34 with an impressive double figure haul. It was close for third with Mike Bowden pipping Simon Allen by 2ozs, both anglers netting some good roach amongst the skimmer bream. Nick Blight had a bonus slab that saw him in equal 5th with Dick Turner, enough for DT to stay on top of the Summer league by 1.5 points.
