Summer League R2 - Tom King Trophy
This was one of the closest contests in many years as 3ozs seperated the top three. With the bream in no mood to play an 8lb bag of silvers was enough to make the podium. Tony Hillas must have fancied his chances from end peg 35 but perhaps the added pressure of it being a 'golden peg' took its toll as he fell 3ozs shoert. Adrian Hill fished the tip to net 8lbs 3ozs of silvers from peg 18, only to be matched by Dave Allen who eeked out the same weight on the pole from peg 31 to share the victory and the Tom King Trophy.
There were default section wins for Tony Johns (Second Basin) with 3lbs 12ozs and Andy Southey with 7lbs 11ozs from peg 14.
