Tuesday 11th June 2024: Pairs League (Eve)
It was a tough evening with a persistant, strong and cold northerly wind all through the contest. The big slabs were absent again but there were silvers and a few decent skimmers brought to the bank with the odd tench and a small carp making an appearance with anlgers mostly fishing short pole or the tip due to the conditions.
The Tiscott Boys made it back to back pairs league wins with Tony Johns (7lbs 9ozs) and Paul Braund (8lbs 1oz) finishing second in their respective sections with bags of silvers. It was also a good evening for A&B Angling with Beau Charnock and Andy Southey finishing third in each section and taking the runners up spot. The winners of each section, Karl Yates (8lbs 10ozs) and Adrian Hill (8lbs) were not backed up by thier partners although the Bude Bay Pirates had the consolation of sneaking into third place thanks to Mark Grattons 13ozs earning 2 points.
