Pairs League Round 4 -

Tuesday 9th June

As was predicted the bigger fish came out to play in the warm evening sunshine. Whilst Simon Allen was off to a flyer with a 5lb carp second cast, partner Dave Allen didn't get into the slabs until late on but with both banking over 20lbs apiece it was an easy victory for Me and My Boy. The 'Pirates' kept up the pressure with two respectable (if not spectacular) weights from Adrian Hill and Peter Giles to finish second. Both teams are now tied at the top of the table half way through the campaign.

There was a tie between four teams for third with Ian Croxton taking a 29lb bag of slabs and Nathan Underwood a 25lb bag, but their respective partners floundered in the Lower Basin and could not deliver a 'knock out' catch to push them higher up the podium.
