Pairs League R4 - Evening Match
It was an evening where two Teams managed to put it all together and an ounce or less decided the outcome of the top three positions. After large bags of silvers on Sunday it was a case of back to reality as 'big beasts' were not in feeding mode. Dave Allen did find a few reasonable skimmers to win the Second Basin by an ounce from Paul Braund, and with partner Simon Allen winning the Lower Basin section, that gave Me and My Boy the win. Tone Johns found those extra ounces to finish second in the Lower Basin, landing the runners up spot for the Tiscott Boys and the added bonus of going top of the league.
It was a real battle in the Lower Basin with one ounce covering three anglers. Ady Larkins and Phil Eagen both banked 6lb 8ozs, Phil was fishing without a partner to back him up enabling the Lynstone Lads to steal third spot by 1/2 a point from Karl and Alfie, with Karl Banking 6lb 7ozs!
