Pairs League Round 6

As predicted, the added pressure of 11 anglers on each section would not see the large bags anglers had been producing in pleasure sessions on the lake and the stock pond.
The current trophy holders Tony Johns and Paul Braund both finished second in their respective sections (and both bagging a bonus carp) to retain the Stu Bell Trophy for the Tiscott Boys. Adrian Hill was the only angler to consistently find the 'lumps' taking 5 from end peg 19 to easily win the Whalesborough section with 18lbs. Stand in partner Len Hancock could not find the bonus fish but did find 4lbs of bits in the pond to see the Bude Bay pirates home in second place. Kevin Hill and Ady Larkins continued the Lager Louts run of good performances picking up third place (although it was a brace of carp in the last hour from Kevin that saved them).
The Stock Pond section was won by Nathan Underwood with 10lbs and another 5 ozs from Ian Gray would have seen the Halwill Hustlers on the podium. However, they did have the consolation of increasing their lead in the league to 3 points.
