Sunday 29th May - Tom King Trophy
Andy Southey put the method feeder to good effect off of peg 14 to comfortably win the Tom King Trophy, bagging a succession of skimmers for over 14lbs. Tony Hillas also found a few skimmers from peg 20, which whilst an end peg can be tricly, but he stil banked 7lbs of silvers for second. Ady Larkins finished the medal winners placings, pole fishing his way to 6lb 11ozs of silvers off peg 18 for third. On peg 12, the other section end peg, Brian powel bagged 5lb 13ozs of silvers to beat Steve Whithouse by an ounce for the section win.
Meanwhile in the Second Basin life was a bit tougher but Simon Allen eeked out 5lb 5ozs of silvers for the section win, and whilst things had improved on a fortnight ago calls for the Bird Hide section for the next match were getting louder.
