Sunday 21st July - Summer League R5
It was a one two for the Allen's with Si Allen junior winning from Dave Allen senior by a 2lb margin. Fishing off end peg 13 Si bagged up on skimmers using the long pole and also banked a 13lb carp (although only counting 5lbs). At the other end of the section on peg 20 Dave re-ignited his swim with some serious groundbaiting and bagged a succession of skimmers (and a 15oz roach) in the last two hours to mount a challenge, but eventually running out of time. Third place went to Steve Whitehouse who put the short pole to good effect netting 10lbs 8ozs of redfins from peg 32.
There were section wins for legendary 'Team Faint Heart' anglers Dick Turner (10lbs 6ozs) and Brian Powel (8lb 12ozs), with Brian Powel increasing his lead at the top of the Summer League table.
