Summer League Round 7, Sunday 25th July:
Starting on the waggler and moving to the pole as the boat traffic increased, Kevin Hill bagged up on bream throught the day from peg 32 to win the Falcon Cup with a 16lb haul. It was a battle of the long poles in the Lower Basin with Steve Whitehouse winning the bagging race with 9lbs of silvers for sewcond. Mark Graton was 10ozs behind with 8lbs 6oz of silvers in third.
Mike Bowden took the Lower Basin section with 6lbs that included a season best 1lb 4oz roach. Simon Allen won the Second Basin section using the long pole to net 2ozs short of 6lbs of silvers.
The EA payed us a visit today to check rod licences which lost Tony Hillas 30 minutes as he sorted out his licence, it possibly cost him the section win!
