Winter League Round 2: Sunday 24th October:

It was a bream fest off pegs 15 and 16 as the Allens bagged up on the slabs that everyone thought were no longer in the canal.  Simon managed to bag some quality 'bronzer' slabs and a bonus  1lb 4oz silver bar,  alternating between pole and feeder to bring over 31lbs to the scales for victory.  Dave had more fish but the lack of big slabs saw him fall short with 25lbs for second.

Elsewhere it was hard work but Andy Southy banked over 6lbs of silvers for third place off peg 18 and Matt Sampson took 4th with the best Second Basin net of 4lbs 8ozs of silvers taken on pole and waggler.  Mark Gratton was just 2ozs behind Matt and had to settle for the consolation of the Second Basin section, Len Hancock took the Lower Basin section with 4lbs 3ozs of skimmers.
