Tuesday 27th June - Evening Pairs League R5.
An 8lbs winning bag of silvers off peg 13 set the Lynstone Lads up for victory with partner Ian Crixton bagging close on 5lbs off peg 32 enough to take them a point clear of thier nearest rivals. Dave Allen fishing the red hot peg 34 won the Second Basin section with 10lbs of skimmers (losing a carp after a 30 minute battle as well!). However, partner Simon Allen stuttered off peg 16, and Adrian 'Sailor' Hill 1oz better net cost Me and My Boy a joint victory. Me and My Boy were compensated by opening up a 2.5 point lead at the top of the table with one point seperating the next four.
There were decent bags for Matt Sampson and Tony Johns, both finishing second in thier sections but thier respoective partners fished like dullards, Paul Braund being placed last and Tony Hillas placed second to last in thier respective sections!
