Bude 163.5 V 136.5 North Devon (First Leg) 27th September 2020

(2nd leg Upper Tamar Devon Bank - 18th October)

A change in the weather saw the average weights compared to last year fall , but four anglers still found double figure bags with the bottom basin around pegs 14 to 17 producing as expected.  Adrian Hill came out on top with 13lbs of silvers for top weight from peg 14 but runner up went to local maestro Simon Allen with an impressive 10lb 8ozs from the Bird Hide.  It was not a top three shut out for Bude as John Forrester did not waste the plumb draw of peg 15, taking third spot just 3 ozs ahead of team mate Stuart Burrage on peg 17.

It was a day where some anglers had to scratch hard to eek out those extra ounces and persistance paid off for the Cup holders Bude as they ammased a 27 pount lead to take into the next leg at Upper Tamar.   Current betting:  Bude 4/6, North Devon 1/1.
