Sunday 1st September, Summer League R9 - Phyllis Turner Trophy - Roach and Rudd
The strong onshore wind made bait presentation in the Lower Basin difficult and the expected large bags of redfins did not materialize, Steve Whitehouse did fared the best and banked just short of 4lbs to finish second. The end pegs in the Second Basin produced best with Paul Braund fishing the short whip to take 78 roach and one rudd for 5lbs and the win. Simon Hockaday could not quite make it to second place fallining an ounce short and placing third with 3lbs 14ozs off peg 34.
There were section wins for Ady Larkins (3lbs 8, peg 28) and Simon Allen (2lbs 12ozs off the fancied pre-draw peg 14).
Jack Crystal won the Junior section with 1lbs 11ozs, Alfie came second with 14ozs.
It looks like a straight battle between Simon Allen and Adrian Hill for the Summer League title, with an outside shot for Steve Whitehouse.
