Winter League Round 1, Sunday 15th October:
No one saw that one coming with the top four places landed from the Second Basin, not least the four anglers who originally drew red and then drew green in the now customary re-start!
Tony Hillas smashed it on the 13 meter pole with a succession of silvers on the chopped worm from peg 28. Rob Fuller also persisted with the pole but could not keep pace with the Londoner and ended 2lbs short, but enough for second place. Steve Whitehouse amassed a large number of bits for a near 8lb bag to finish third.
Adrian Hill fishing off peg 20 won the Lower Basin section with 5lbs 10ozs but it was only good enough for 5th overall as Len Hancock won the Second Basin section with 5lb 12ozs of silvers on the waggler.
