Sunday 27th November - Winter League R3
Simon Allen banked a 27lb haul of skimmers and roach from hot peg 13 to easily see off the competion and win round 3 of the winter league. Using two pole lines the fish fed throughout the day for what was an impressive catch given there were no slabs in the net. Kevin Hill did find a 'bronzer' slab and with a decent catch of silvers netted nearly 12lbs for second place from peg 15. In between Si and Kevin on peg 14 Len Hancock brought 9lb 9ozs of skimmers to the scales to complete the podium.
There was a section win for Rob Fuller on end peg 9 with a near 9lbs haul of silvers and a last minute 3lb slab got Paul Braund out of jail and into second section fishing off peg 19.
Fur and Feather tickets are on sale from Waterfront Shooting and Fishing at £29 which includes breakfast at the Brendon, Competition entry and evening meal. You must purchase your ticket before end of play on Saturday 10th December. (if you just want to turn up to the evening meal and hear everyones excuses its £10!).
