Brendon All Stars stallwart London Tone Hillas bagged a late 13lb carp off peg 35 which effectively won the Pairs League and the Stu Bell Trophy for the team.  The carp boosted Tone's overall weight to 17lbs 2ozs, and with stand in partner Ady Larkins bagging 8lbs 10zs for second spot in the Lower Basin, victory was assured.   The 'Pirates' finished runners up on the day with a 12lbs 4oz Lower Basin section win for Mark Gratton backed up by a 9lbs equal second place Second Basin catch of silvers from Adrian 'Sailor' Hill.  Dick Turner equaled Sailor Hills 9lbs but with partner Brian Powel finishing 3rd in the Lower Basin the legendary Team Faint Heart had to settle for third spot on the day.

As this was the final competition of the pairs league, long time leaders Me and My Boy lost out by 2 points as Dave Allen struggled alongside Tiscott Boy stand in Tony Johns to finish equal fourth, but either angler would have needed at least another one and a half pounds to have secured enough points to deny the All Stars thier victory.  Me and My Boy ended as league runners up.
