Sunday 30th June - Falcon Cup (R5)
Peg 34 was back with a bang as London Tone Hillas smashed the opposition with a 23lb haul of skimmers to easily win the Falcon cup. Closest rival Adrian 'Sailor' Hill fishing peg 19 plugged away on long pole and feeder all day to bag 9lb 9ozs of silvers, including a couple of crucians and one good skimmer boosting the weight for second spot. Rob Fowler stuck at the long pole off peg 17, even in the blustery conditions, consitantly picking up silvers throught the day but the bonus 'big un' did not show up and had to settle for third place with 8lbs 3ozs. Brian Powel took the Lower Basin section with 7lb 2ozs of silvers and Wayne Burnard continued his good season with a 6lb 8ozs section winning bag from the Second Basin that takes him to overall 5th in the league.
