Summer League Round 4, Sunday 29th June:
The Bird Hide section was the place to be with three of the top four weights coming from this section. However, a 14lb carp and a slab taken by Duncan Edwards pegged in the Lower Basin won the day with close on 20lbs. Peter 'Tacker' Giles had his bag of silvers boosted by a 4lb slab to pip Paul Drissel by 3ozs for second spot, Dris bagging a couple of small carp to top the 12lbs mark. Pete Horton would have been in the running but a 4lb carp lept free of the keep net as he was gathering the net to be weighed! Nathan Underwood topped the scales from the second Basin with a 10lb bag of silvers that puts him well clear as the leader of the Summer League. There were also section wins for Ady Larkins at the Bird Hide and Len Codlin in the Lower Basin.
