Sunday 27th October - Winter League R2

The expected Lower Basin domination did not materialise as Simon Allen bagged a shedful of quality skimmers on the long pole from the newly deepened end peg 27 for a near 24lbs to win Sundays contest.  Second and third places did follow predictions with Dick Turner banking 9lb 9ozs of skimmers  from peg 18 and Mark Gratton 8lb 4ozs from peg 20.   

The next six places were all from the Second Basin with anglers mostly catching small roach and skimmers for bags that were high on quantity but low on quality. Steve Maynard won the closly fought section with 7lb 1oz of silvers with no fish over 3ozs.  Dean Ferris took the lower Basin section with just under 5lbs of silvers from end peg 13.

It will be interesting to see if drawing red starts to loose its attraction as we move into the winter months, if the canadian geese would bugger off it might be worth trying pegs 25 and 26 given the deeper water.
