Sunday 10th November Winter league R3
The unseasonably sunny, calm day was welcome so late in the year but it was feared the clear water would temper the size of the nets brought to the bank. Under the conditions it was no surprise that Peg 18 was back in form as Paul Braund bagged a succession of bream, skimmers and roach on the 7 meter whip for a winning weight of 13lbs 1oz. Dave Allen ensured the Lower Basin did not dominate the places, banking 10lbs of roach 9including a few quality specimens) to finish second off peg 28. Simon Allen completed the top three places taking 9lb 2ozs of silvers on the long pole from end peg 13, keeping his place at the top of the league.
A bream in the last 15 minutes handed Dick Turner the Lower Basin section win with 7lbs 1oz of silvers from peg 17 whilst Brian Powel took the Second Basin section with 7lbs 5ozs of silvers from peg 29.
