Pairs League Round 5

Carp ace Matt Pepperal followed up his weekend success in the Upper Tamar lake Carp pairs contest by bagging three carp for over 22lbs to win the Lower Basin section, partner Ryan Wiltshire bagged 3lb 6ozs of silvers on the waggler and short pole from peg 32 to ensure the second win on the bounce for Carp or Bust.
The Halwill Hustlers muscled there way to the top of the League, Nathan Underwood bagging 7lbs of skimmers from peg 27 and Ian Gray 3lbs of bits from peg 19 to finish second. Arch rivals Me and My Boy finished third with Simon and Dave both drawing end pegs and bagging silvers of 7lbs and 4lbs respectively to fill the last podium slot.
Three points now separate 2nd to 6th so its all to play for as we move to Whalesbourough Lake for round 6, where everyone will no doubt be setting their stall out for carp.
